A Team Owner will first email or message a link to all the invited participants. The participants will first have to make sure they have installed the Contacts Journal app on their iOS or Mac device.
When the participant clicks on the link for the first time, the system will ask if they want to accept the share:
If they accept, Contacts Journal will then open, and first backup their current database (in case they want to save their personal Contacts Journal database). If they are syncing with their own personal CloudSync or Dropbox accounts, those will be turned off as well.
The app will then prompt the user allow other users to look you up by email:
This is a little misleading; we use this prompt to lookup the user's name, as it is shown in their iCloud account. Unfortunately we aren't able to customize this message to better reflect this, as the message is coming from Apple's privacy system. By allowing this, you will let other users *who are part of this shared team* to see your name as it shows on your iCloud account.
The Contacts Journal app will then download the Team database from the team owner's account. Once it's finished downloading, further changes will automatically sync between each user's devices.
Download Team On Other Devices
If the participant want to sync other devices to this team account, they can either use the same link on the other device to download the team database. They can also go to More -> "Personal Sync Setting" -> "View Existing Teams" page to view the teams they have joined, and download the team database.
