You first need to be subscribed to a Contacts Journal Teams subscription plan. Once you have a valid subscriber, you can use the More -> Team Sync Setting -> "Create New Team" page.
Creating a Team
First, you can add a team name, and choose whether you want to upload your existing data to the team, or start with an empty database.
On the next page, you can add participants that you want to share this team with. You need to add the participants' iCloud email addresses. Here's how to find the iCloud email address on a device.
You can add as many participants as your subscription plans allows. You can always upgrade your subscription plan if you wish to add more participants.
Once you select the "Create Team" button, your data will be uploaded to your own iCloud account, and a link will be generated that you can use to share with your team participants. You can email the link to their iCloud email accounts, or you can copy the link and send it to them through iMessage.
Joining a Team
The participants will need to have the Contacts Journal app installed on their device (iOS or Mac) before they can accept and join the team. They will also need the link to the team, as described above. For more details, read our article "Joining a Team".
Important Notes
- as a valid subscriber to the Teams plan, you can create multiple teams, adding different iCloud users to different teams. This is great if you want to sync separate information with different colleagues
- you can only sync with one team at a time on your device, but you can switch between your different Teams from the 'View Existing Teams' page
- the team's owner needs to have a valid subscription for the team syncing to function. If the subscription is cancelled, the team participants will be removed from the team
