With Contacts Journal, you can send emails to multiple contacts, or to a group of contacts.
Starting a Group Email (iOS)
Here are the steps needed to start a group email to a whole group:
- select a group (you can also skip this step, if you want to manually select which contacts to email)
- select the 'edit-mode' button
- select the 'action' button
- select 'Send Group Email' from the list of options
Sending Group Emails
On the "Draft Email" page, you can then add text to the subject and/or email body, select attachments from the existing Files section, and add or remove contacts from the list.
Press Next to bring up the "email" page, which will be populated by the email addresses of the selected contacts.
When the email is sent, a new Log will be created for the selected contacts, which will save the text of the email you entered and the name of the files you attached (if any).
Group Emails - With Templates
When sending a group email, you can also invoke Email Templates (see our help article about creating Email Templates)
You will then see a page, with each contact's individually prepared email in the list (with the tags filled out), and you can select the contact to bring up the actual 'email' page
Once you send an email to one contact, it gets highlighted in blue, so you can keep progress about how many emails from the list you have sent
When you're finished, press the Done button, and it will save a new Log, with the information from the email template, for the contacts that you actually sent the emails to.
Starting Group Emails (Mac)
The start a group email on the Mac, you can select multiple contacts in the contacts list, and right-click to see the context menu. Select "Send Email" to start the Group Email.
