Contacts that were imported into Contacts Journal, or created using the "Create Contact" page, will keep all the information in sync with the Apple Contacts app, so you can update phones, emails, notes etc without having to make the changes in both places.
If you create new contacts in the Apple Contacts app, they don’t automatically get imported into Contacts Journal. When we detect new contacts in the Contacts app, we pop up an alert asking you if you want to import them into Contacts Journal. You can then see a list of these new contacts and then quickly import them if you wish.
If you dismiss this alert, you can always import any missing contactslater:
- press the + button on the main contacts list, then select "Import from Contacts"
- on the next page, select the missing contacts (or double-tick to select all un-imported contacts), then press + again
If you create new contacts in the Contacts Journal app, they will be added into the Contacts app as well, using your default Contacts account. If you create "Private Contacts", those are saved only inside Contacts Journal.
